"As I mature..."

I received this forward from Smishr, one of my juniors. And (as usual), PraChi and SponChi made their presence felt :) !

As I Mature

I've learned that you cannot make

someone love you. All you can do is

stalk them and hope they panic and give in.

Both PraChi and SponChi beg to differ in this aspect. Love, like any other emotion, can only be inspired and not forced.

I've learned that no matter how much I care,

some people are just assholes.

Yuppu....both of them agree on (at least) this one.

I've learned that it takes years

to build up trust, and it only takes

suspicion, not proof, to destroy it.

"How true..." echo both of them.

I've learned that you shouldn't

compare yourself to others - they are

more screwed up than you think.

Both of them are rolling on the floor laughing.

I've learned that you can keep vomiting

long after you think you're finished.

PraChi : "Life has to go on. No use ruminating about the past."
SponChi : "It's really difficult not to think about the past when the present is based on the past."

I've learned that we are responsible

for what we do, unless we are celebrities.

Both of them gravely nod their heads.

I've learned that regardless of

how hot and steamy a relationship is at

first, the passion fades, and there had better

be a lot of money to take its place!

SponChi : "Hah....money is not everything. Not all things, for instance love, cannot be bought by money."
PraChi : "Ya....money is not everything. But money is something. Because love alone cannot feed you throughout, right?"

I've learned that the people you care most

about in life are taken from you too soon

and all the less important ones just never go away.

PraChi : "So ensure that you give importance to people who can at least reciprocate in kind. The moot point is - you can show your vulnerable side to very few people and not all people. And it hurts if they go away or stop maintaining contact on the account of some miscommunication.
SponChi : "That's pessimistic thinking! Why should one think that people go away? A lot depends on the effort to keep the relationship alive. Besides, don't you think that good people always remain alive in thoughts?"

And (as usual) the argument continues....... :).

yup... well said.. I totally agree with PraChi..

//Good people always remain alive in thoughts

Yes.. but thoughts and mails are not enough all the times.. A touch, a look of concern and a timely hug makes a very big difference.. Thats why we all feel depressed when we have to part our friends..

Hey, just noted that I am the first to post a comment... yipeeeeeeee.....

Hmmmm....maybe it's just the insecurity speaking. But ya, as I have added at the end, there has to some spice in the relationship....and to maintain that spice, some effort has to be taken :)!
