In a relationship.....

If chemistry is the driving force behind the desire to know more about the other, comfort is being secure in one’s knowledge.

If chemistry can be described as a shaky impetus to a relationship, comfort is when the real thing begins.

If chemistry is an elusive spark which makes you respond to a person, comfort is the quiet force which makes you accept a person.

If chemistry is difficult to rekindle when extinguished, comfort can only attain newer levels during its journey.

If chemistry is fragile enough to fizzle out in the course of a relationship, comfort can be described as something solid.....and reliable.

If chemistry keeps a relationship alive, comfort maintains the relationship at peace.

If chemistry is the driving force of any relationship, comfort is the stabilizing force.

If chemistry provides the zing in a relationship, comfort provides the (much-needed) balance.

From day to night......from verbatim avowals to silence......from confusion to clarity......from verbal to non-verbal......from chemistry to comfort, time’s the only referee.

As I described, comfort takes a relatively longer time to get established. But ya, chemistry can pave the path for it.....

Perhaps the so called chemistry is just a flagpost, to know the spot and decide whether to depart or not, and comfort at the other end, lets you know whether one has arrived or not.
