Can you have "chemistry" with somone you are not "comfortable"?

If you are comfortable with someone, physics, chemistry, biology, economics, history all follows :D :P

Yay! The question of the week! :D

To answer Jay, YES, you can have chemistry with someone you are not comfortable :)

And I agree with Viky, both complement each other initially. But in the long, long, long run - comfort wins hands down. - (I think) :)

@Shruthi,

Was just wondering, how is that possible?

Viky said...

@Jay: It is the kind of chemistry which explodes every now and then. :D

If you have chemistry with the person, u will be comfortable with each other. I guess both come in a package.. though the level of comfort/chemistry may vary.. :)

i quite agree with jay here.. one cannot have a chemistry without be4ing comfy with the person..i guess what u guys mean here is something like a spark or a crush, which is not chemistry in a relationship accord to me.. i guess its better we define our perspectives of what the words stand for b4 we continue..

Both to some extent. But Chitra (ie, read it as 'you'.. ;)..) is most important.. :)

i really feel that they r not isolated feelings that are comparible..only if u have comfort, can u have a chemistry..so to me the blog itself doesnt make much sense..

For all those who asked me how can you have chemistry without comfort:
I equate comfort with peace and security. You can have tremendous chemistry with someone, yet remain disturbed and uneasy.
For a relationship to work, along with chemistry, there must be comfort. And only comfort might work, but it will be pretty dull.
You need both in equal measure, at least in the beginning.

Chemistry : Why do we all hv to take as complementary. As you all know some (acid) when combined wih bases give a different reacion and some form good mixtures. The concept of solvent , solute wouldnt have come.

So, it depends on the nature of the two, good reaction. i think in other words, good comfort level leads to ood chemistry!

thankk god didnt see your post in the morning and i wd have been therown out of my job!
sorry for the lengthy comment!

Finally, another weekly question.

Instead of saying, "I think YOU need both", I prefer to say, "I think I need both in any relationship!"

relation ship can be either enemity or aminity. So, if its enemiety that you can still be comfortable with the relationship without chemistry!.. otherwise it si necessary to have it!.. chemistry need not always be the same way of understanding things.. they can be different also.. disagrement also!.. but still you can be comfortable.. since they haven't offende your or your opinion of thought!!..

well, I meant the people in it.. Didn't point at YOU in particular. Just wanted to use the first letter of your name to convey a much bigger meaning.. :).
