Movie mania...er...?

I am not a movie-buff, have never been. Given a choice between a book and a movie, I would gladly choose curl up with the former..... with hot piping tea... bisi bisi bajji.....samosa... kachori ....Sighhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh......

Okay.....now where was I? Ya......regarding movies. I used to see movie primarily because of the songs – any song which was good, the movie was worth watching – and good company. For me, a movie was not just three hours in the theater, getting involved in the story unfold amon colourful scenes in the darkness before my eyes....and observe people unselfconsciously bawl their heart out. It was......well is..... most of the times a function of the company, the chemistry, the comfort level, the jokes cut, the conversations, and small moments of happiness and realization. And no, I am not a profound being...... I just like good company......like any other social being. It’s just that I am very specific and choosy about it :-)! Aaaah.....kya kare, I yum like this vonly !

This..... is to thank those individuals who gave me company in viewing KANK. If not for them, I would have been tempted to do a repeat telecast of a-laa Devdas .... I walked out of Devdas because too much of melodrama is too bad......at least for my health :-)!

What makes KANK interesting? Songs (well.....you should have figured this out), bankable stars in the industry, good performances, cinematography (the picturization of “Tumhe Dekho Na” reminds me of “Tere Haath mein”), a bold theme......auunnnnnndddd (last but not the least) Kajol ! RK and Viky have vouched for it.....:-)

And what makes the movie one big mess? Confusion.....confusion..... and confusion. I wish I could elaborate more on that but then, does history repeat itself ?

I remember one occassion where I did ulta...I haven't seek Kalyug for the fear that it might hamper the image of "Jiya dhadak jiya dhadak..."

Notwithstanding, all the melodramatic c***, hindi sell worldwide for their songs. A cute vietnamese girl who sits next to me in class actually is a hindi movie buff. They get those song-filled hindi movies with vietnamese subtitles. I gifted her 3 hindi movies telling her there are no subtitles in them. She told me in smattering chinese 'As long as they have good song-n-dances its okay'
