We set of early in the morning to reach the ‘pick-up’ venue - the one and only Vidhaana Soudha. We along with the rest of the pass-winners constituted a caravan of nearly twenty vehicles excluding the police escort (yes, we did have one. On boy....had a taste of what it takes to be ‘rich’ and famous). And with the arrival of Sunaina (an RJ with
Good food, good route-map and good company. Sigh.....life mein aur kya chaahiye?
Enroute Hampi, we visited the Chitradurga fort where history was created by a ‘mere’ woman. More to it here.......
And at last, we reached Hampi in late evening. As an exclusive treat for us, the entire
Hampi occupied a prime location during the reign of the Vijayanagar era. And with the descent of the empire, the city was looted not only the Mughals but by the very people who called themselves the ‘allies’ of the State. It was a wonderful experience indeed. :-)
haven;t visited hampi!.. but heard its good!.. night vision of the temple with lamps.. but have been an imprint that could last for long :)..! I still think the toursim promition in india is still bad!.. there is plenty of room for that area to promote and to make the place far worthy! and give ASI, a peice of cake and some funds to improve on things!.. dont think so?>\

Hmmm...tourism is good however not to places like Hampi where historical relics remain main attraction. Given this, how many people prefer Hampi to places like ..say Goa?

Hey thanks!
well.. we may not get the same numbers for hampi as to goa!.. but can increase the number?.. and then use the resources for better attractions of tourists?..! lets see.. on an ordinary day.. would you get the scene of small light in the temple as you saw?.. have you noticed the difference?.. with and without!.. wouldn;t such attractions make sense?..?

Any place has its own attractions...just that the people should identify with those....ashTe
